| The old two-story store building from the front. |
An old road going south across from the stone store building. There was possibly a wooden store building and house place on the left corner of this road and the highway. |

| Poteau Mountain looking across fields with the light green spring leaves on a large tree out in the field. Beyond the trees and bushes on the far side of this field are many acres of reclaimed coal strip pits that looks like rolling hills of green pasture. |
The large green tree in Spring foliage and the dark cloud shadowed Poteau Mountain. |

| The old store building with highway signs along the highway marking the Arkansas and Oklahoma border. Note the flowering bush on the left side of the photo, this must have been a favorite plant in the late 1800's and early 1900's as you will find them at just about every former old home place. It is a Flowering Quincy or Fire Bush. They bloom early and the keeps blooming even after it has leaved out. Apparently there was a store and house at this location which was on a corner of the highway and road that went off to the left. As you can see by the bush there are the remains of a building. |
