Byron McCord on South Pacific Island during World War II. "Barney" served in the Marine Corp and was in an Engineering Unit. In his 3 years of service almost every month of it he was in the South Pacific at most of the major battles. |
Jerry McCord in his Navy uniform in World War II. Jerry spent his 3 or so years in the Pacific seeing action in all of the major naval actions. He had been trained in radar and served on destroyers when at sea. |
Eddie Lee McCord spent his time in the U. S. Army during World War II in Germany. He was in Berlin during the Berlin Airlift. |

| Byron "Barney" McCord and his new bride Ratha McGar. Barney came back to Waldron after the World War II was over and under the G.I. Bill he received training in the building trades which was his vocation most of his working life. He had met Ratha there at Waldron and after several years living in Waldron or California they moved to Camden, Arkansas where they live today. |
